Site Manager

Purpose of the Post
The role of the site manager will be to oversee all daily operations of the plant from production to ensuring policies and procedures are followed. This will include developing processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality and productivity.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Carry out legal appointment in terms of Mines Health and Safety Act and Regulations
- Manage all plant personnel and sub-contractors
- Ensuring that plant production targets are met
- Plant process efficiencies
- Metallurgical trouble-shooting investigations
- Planning and implementation of optimization campaigns
- Training and performance development of plant personnel
- Daily schedule: 12 hours continuous
- Housekeeping, Safety and Loss Control in his area of responsibility
Eligibility Criteria
- A tertiary qualification in minerals processing or extractive metallurgy
- 5 years' experience at a middle/senior management level in the mining industry
- Preferably some coal experience
